It’s been a long time since I wrote for the duniasantri. But, first, I found duniasantri through the internet and social media, which provide space for santri in particular, academics, the general public, and across professions in general in developing digital literacy facilities for the community.
In addition, I must admire that duniasantri.co can accept various genres or types of writing on their website. Ranging from social and cultural to political issues, they have never differentiated. As long as it provides a good literacy concept and is supported by a strong argument, duniasantri will publish the article.
The three years of Duniasantri now mark that the digital literacy era with selected rubrics is increasingly popular for the general public to read, understand, and contemplate. Although I am a novice writer in the duniasantri, I will thank you for what duniasantri has given me, namely the opportunity to provide a map of social change.
I admit that I don’t keep writing about religious issues always. However, I also write about criticizing anyone I think needs to be criticized, especially in the current issue of radicalism and other deviant ideologies.
In addition, I also write about domestic political issues about how policymakers and the opposition are like drama plays that deserve criticism because most of them only cause noise and confusion for the people themselves.
So I will compile this article as a gift, in the form of self-correction of the writings I have written before the three years of duniasantri.
Social politics
I once wrote an article that discussed the practical politics of santri. This article is intended for santri, who are still unfamiliar with the world of domestic politics.
I don’t mean to patronize; my people still don’t really understand how our socio-political flow is. However, I try to analyze the phenomena that exist in our lives which are also influenced by political decisions.
In addition, we should realise that a politician’s role, if lived with the values of truth and goodness, will lead to dynamic prosperity for the community. Many social issues cannot be changed by argument alone but must be changed by political policy.
Cultural Literacy
When I write about an element of culture, I take it as a theme or title about the benefits of wayang for developing our education, especially Islamic education, as the face of our own religious da’wah.
I wrote about how the authority, starting from the master “wayang maker”, the dalang, Sinden, and musicians who accompanied his art went hand in hand to provide entertainment and a stimulus for education through culture.
Many human values, cultures and even religious values are conveyed through wayang. We know that wayang, when in the hands of Sunan Kalijaga, also had an impact on understanding the repertoire of Islam so that it could attract the Hindu-Buddhist community at that time to embrace Islam.
So that the value of culturalism, such as “regional” Javanese music as material for self-reflection combined with Islamism in the soothing Islamic philosophical values, becomes a peculiarity that can improve literacy aspects of Indonesian society in particular.
Three Years
Three years may be considered a lifetime for many people. Still, more than that, now the duniasantri continues to prove itself as one of the mass media that accommodates all kinds of criticism, knowledge, and social analysis, especially in the country.
Even though it’s still early in pioneering media, I admit that maintaining the quality of the media is more complex than just comparing ages, which are just numbers. I saw the duniasantri, which opened up a vast space for thousands of its members to fill in the rubrics they had provided. These rubrics then clear up bizarre notions that want to destroy the order of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
This media also provides a means of criticism for policymakers for the policy mistakes they have made. In addition, the duniasantri’s media provide literacy or understanding of various religious, cultural, or educational knowledge arranged in such a way.
To conclude this article, it would not be good if I did not say to the duniasantri for achieving the age of the mass media that has been managed. So…. Happy birthday, duniasantri. May you be more successful in preaching various things and become one of the vanguards in spreading Islamic da’wah.
